So my nieces and nephew came over the other day. Justin lifted Hyrum up so he could see the eggs in the nest. We told him to count them and when he says, "there are 4 in there," we were quite surprised. The last time we had checked there were only 2.
I didn't know that birds did that...lay eggs in increments like that. I just wish I knew what kind of bird it was so I can read up on them. Does anyone have any ideas? This process is amazing! We will have to check more regularly as they seem to keep multiplying.

jamie, that is fascinating! how fun for your family to be able to watch this process...too sweet.
Your going to have to post a sign at the door that says, "Caution, maternity ward". Have you seen the momma bird sitting on the nest at night? Well one thing we know about this momma bird is that she has really good taste to pick such a pretty wreath - call her Martha "Birdie" Stewart.
Now they are born! I was the first to see too!!! They looked like they were dead but, Justin said they were moving!
Jamie - How fun that is to have a nest at your front door. Can't wait for the next update. I bet the kids are so excited. Mine would be.
how fun! i bet your kids ask you to let them see the nest all the time... at least mine would!
I'm surprised Justin hasn't looked up the eggs online to see what kind of bird it is. Now they are hatched maybe you'll be able to tell. Did they all hatch?
