Happy Thanksgiving!

#2 I'm Thankful For.....

My Boys.....They are my EVERYTHING! I have been blessed with two of the most handsome boys and (for the most part :0)) they bring me a lot of happiness and joy. They love to giggle and wrestle and play games and I love to be a part of that innocence. I feel so thankful to my Father in Heaven for entrusting me with the awesome task of being a mother and I hope he blesses us with even more of His sweet little spirits here on earth.

#1 I'm Thankful For.....

The Gospel....I am so thankful that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.



For the knowledge that, if I live a righteous life, I will return to live with my Father in Heaven again. I am thankful for my Savior who lived and died for my sins which makes that possible.



I am thankful to know that my family and I will be together forever, that I will be reunited with those that have gone on before me into the next life. What a wondrous blessing this church is and I am so very thankful to be a member of it

I love Halloween

So every year I get my kids a set of Halloween pj's. Here are this years models.





Normally I wait til it's a little closer to Halloween to give them to them, but they saw them and begged. I guess they'll get more use out of them this way.

Best Friends

My boys fight......a lot. They're constantly arguing over certain toys or who gets to turn the t.v. off when mommy asks. But even though they fight and argue a lot, they are pretty much inseparable and can have moments of love and kindness. When Hayden goes down for a nap, Gavin gets sad and asks when he is going to get up so they can play. If Gavin goes into the pantry for a snack, he always brings Hayden one too. They're good brothers to each other and I am grateful for that.

The other night, after dinner and baths, Gavin and Hayden made themselves a bed in the family room and laid down to watch a movie. Justin and I were sitting on the couch just talking when all of the sudden we hear Gavin say, "Hayden...you are my very best friend." Tears welled in my eyes and I said a little prayer of gratitude to my Father in Heaven for blessing me with these sweet boys and to plea that they always remain good close friends. I had to snap a picture....just to document this sweet moment between them.

I just realized that I never posted Hayden's 2nd birthday cake I made for him....boy am I on top of things! Well here it is....




It didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to, but still pretty cute I guess. At least now it's documented.

Pudding Pack Pleasures!

Well, maybe for Hayden it was a pleasure, but for mommy....a pain! I guess that's what happens when you leave a 2 year old alone with a cup of chocolatey goodness.





It was not only all over Hayden, but somehow he managed to get it all over the wall behind him....never again!!!

Fort Heap

I wasn't feeling very good Sunday so I went and laid down for a while during Hayden's naptime. I came back out into the family room to Fort Heap.





I didn't even know we owned so many blankets...but Gavin found them somewhere! I think he did a pretty good job!

Hayden's Turn

Gavin had a great first day at Kindergarten!



(I on the other hand have been an emotional wreck....but this post isn't about me) He mainly has been talking about the cool playground he got to play on and the magnets he got to play with in class.



His teacher's name is Mrs. Moore and she seems like she is going to be great for Gavin!
He even has a friend already....



David Stay is the son of one of my good friends. It's so nice to know that he already has someone he knows and gets along with.
I think it's going to be a good year! Here's to the start of Gavin's school career!!!

Hayder-Tot

Happy Birthday to my little 2 year old! He is so much fun to be around and is always smiling (well most of the time) He brings Justin and I a lot of happiness and we are so glad he is in our family!

VACCINES!

****NOTE: The following may not be that funny to some and may be one of those "ya had to be there" moments, but I thought it was pretty hilarious and wanted to document it. ***



In order to get Gavin all prepped to start Kindergarten, we had to take him to get all his vaccinations. When I told him the night before that we were going to the Dr. he was a little apprehensive but I promised him that mommy would be right beside him.
He did so great through all the sight and hearing tests, through his check up with the Dr. and just when he thought we were good to go, the nurse came in with those "scary" needles. He sat on my lap and I held his arms down so that she could administer the shots (4 in all). He did pretty good for the 1st couple but by the third one he says to her, (well kind of shouts at her) "You shouldn't stick needles in little kids....that's not nice!" I started laughing my head off and luckily the nurse was good humored about it too. When she was finished she pulled out a diagram of kids who were infected with what he was being vaccinated for. After she explained it, he was somewhat o.k. with it.
As we were walking down the hall of the office to leave, Gavin starts telling the nurses and anyone he passes, "Now I have holes in my arms!" Needless to say, he left the whole office in fits of laughter! Gavin.....My Little Comedian!

Gavin's Birthday

Gavin's Day in a nutshell.....

We made Blueberry Muffin's......his favorite!



We went to Mi Amigos for dinner.....his favorite!



We went on the Merry-Go Round at the mall.



We had a Bug Party with all the cousins!

The Vin's

Today is The Vin's birthday! He is 5 and I can't believe how time has flown by. We are so grateful for Gavin. He brings us a lot of joy....a lot of headache too...but mostly joy! He is fun, outgoing, so smart, handsome (just like his dad) and a hoot to be around. I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven for blessing me with Gavin 5years ago. (wow time really has flown) I can't imagine my life without him!
