Just Keep Swimming....

Gavin had his first Swim lesson on Monday. It was a little rough as he didn't want to follow instructions very well and we did end up having to get out about 1/2 way through. But, he has gotten better and we only had to leave about 10 minutes early today.
His main teacher is super cute with the kids and she is extremely patient with Gavin. I think by the end of this week, he will be able to stay the entire time.

New Bed!!!

So, I decided that I was really sick of my old dingy bedspread and that it was time for an upgrade! I found this at Bed Bath and Beyond. It came with the the dust ruffle, two king shams, sheets and pillowcases. And the best part of it all was that it was on SALE!!! I found the three pillows in front at Walmart and I was pretty excited since they match perfectly with the everything else and were a lot cheaper then the ones that you could buy at BB&B. I love it and it changes the whole look of my room. Now, I just have to find some new curtains.....

Emergency Room

My poor sweet Hayden has had quite a week. A few days ago he got a cut on the back of his ankle....luckily it didn't need stitches. Then this morning, much to my horror, he wakes up with his legs looking like this!!! Here's the story - Last night, while I was out with my sisters-in-law, Justin decided to clean out the drain in the boys bathroom. Gavin was daddy's little helper and when they were finished, Justin took the Drain-o and put it out in the garage. Well, Justin then went into the kitchen to start fixing dinner, A few minutes later, Gavin came running in exclaiming that something was burning his legs. Confused, Justin felt his legs and they were wet and slick and so he ran into the bathroom where he found the Drain-o uncapped and spilled on the floor and Hayden crawling in it.
So Justin grabs Hayden, strips he and Gavin down and they all jump into the shower together where Justin proceeds to rinse and wash the boys for about 30 minutes. He then called poison control and they asked if there was any blistering. Nope just a little red. So Justin kept an eye on them for the rest of the night and put them to bed with their legs being a little red, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Well, Justin went in to get Hayden up this morning and comes out asking me if I'm ready to cry. He turns Hayden towards me and to my horror, my little boy's legs are blistered and red! I immediately start sobbing! It was like I was in a dream....I didn't think this could actually be my baby boy! Well, we rush him to the Emergency room where they take a culture sample and prescribe him some oral and topical antibiotics, clean his wounds and dress them. We have to take him back in the morning for them to check it and make sure that it doesn't get infected any further. We think that because of his eczema his legs were more suseptible to an outbreak like this. Especially since Gavin has a little redness on his legs, but nothing near what Hayden has. He seems ok...no tears really until they started applying cleanser and ointment! But he's a brave and tough little 10 month old and should be ok in a week or so. Now if I can just get over it.....

This picture doesn't really do it justice...it's horrific!

Let Sleeping 'BOYS' Lie

The other evening, at around 4:45, I went into the kitchen to start making dinner. Justin was sitting on the couch and Gavin was in our bedroom watching a movie.
Well, it's 5:30....dinners ready and I call for them to come in and sit down to eat.....no response. I round the corner....no Justin on the couch so I go into our room to find father and son taking a little sietsa. I couldn't resist taking a picture before I had to wake them from their slumber.
Too Cute!!!

Friday Night Fun!

This last Friday, Kris asked Justin and I to come and babysit overnight while he took Sarah on a fun outing for their anniversary. I decided to bring my camera along and take some pics of the boys together. We had a really fun night. We ordered pizza, decorated cupcakes and got toasted by Collin on Wii Mario Kart. Then the boys got baths and we watched a movie. I think they had a lot of fun together and we had a lot of fun too!

Mrs. McMurphy

We took a trip to the library this past week and Gavin went straight for this book. We first checked this out last October during Halloween and he has been checking out regularly since. Everytime we go to the library this is the first book he wants to get and we read it about a 100 times before it goes back to the library. I'm personally a little sick of it, and can repeat it on command, but my little man loves it so.....I guess Mrs. McMurphy is here to stay!

Heap Girl's get Crafty

Each month, my sisters-in-law and I have been trying to get together to make crafts. Our last craft were flip flops that we faniced up with some rhinestones. It was time consuming but fun to get together.
Here is our latest craft. We made these ribbon watches and it was kind of tricky at first, but I really like how they turned out. Now, I just need to go somehwere so I can where them...
